Text is not Dead

I am a media writing graduate student who writes everything from fiction to blogs. Having originally grown up in Florida, I am relatively new to New England, but one of my favorite things about Connecticut is New Haven. Judge if you must, but the variety of amazing restaurants has made the transition a bit easier than I expected. I can handle ten inches of snow when five restaurants sit within walking distance. When I’m not studying for my MA or catching up on much-needed sleep, I read or write. In my opinion, reading is essential to the human condition, and I enjoy discovering new writers in different mediums, print or web.

As far as a personal life, I am married to my best friend and the only person who can withstand on a daily basis my creative energy, consistent sarcasm, and wild imagination. We have great friends who share our love of wine and talking (two things that should always be paired). And, in our leisure, we watch movies, ski, hike, play with our dog, and for me, kickboxing, an activity I recently discovered and love; plus, I get to hit stuff.
